Fresh goat milk!

I wake up and do not want out of bed. My 17 mo is ready to roll .. I feel like resisting then I remember.. I have a goat to milk!!! Purpose to this morning!! A hobby just for me!! These mornings are the best. I feel so grateful to have my little farm.

My mini Nubian is a breed of goat that has been in the works for years. I bought her mother, Buttercream a pure registered Nigerian goat, almost 4 years ago with having Fauna on the farm in my heart. I wanted a milker I raised from a kid. The milking bond is so special, so fun. I love it. I often lay my cheek to their sides and sing to them , to myself. It is so dang peaceful!

Siiighh..Back to business - Mini Nubians have the high milk fat of their Nigerian heritage but with more yield from their Nubian part. Delicious and enough to go around this family of 6. She is giving 1 litre a day. Half in morning, half at eve. Fauna still has her kids on her as well. They are ready to be sold in about a week - message me for details! Once the kids go to new homes milking becomes much easier (no need to separate the kids at night) It's always a bit sad to say goodbye to the babies , but fun to dream of their futures!
